New universities are the world's newest ranking, Dhaka University too
Some of the world's best universities make it a ranking of institutions. Since 2013, a company named KUS has joined the task of creating this ranking. In this post, it is highlighted by QS that some of the best universities in the world. Business Insider said in a report.
The number of universities in the world is 701th in the QS list. However, among the Asian countries, Dhaka University is at the 109th position.
Dhaka University is the only university in the list.
The organization said that there are 33,000 students and 1800 teachers at Dhaka University. In addition to science, the university does research work. Six year-old English journals were published from the University of Dhaka and 10 months later a Bengali journal was published. Besides, more than 10 journals have been published from different departments.
80 percent students of the university undergraduate and 20 percent of the students were taught in postgraduate. The number of staff members of the university is 1932, according to the statistics.
The United States Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has emerged as the world's best university. 11,067 students of the university and academic faculty staff have 2,982 local and international 1,679 people. The university is very pioneer in the field of research. Besides, 40 percent of the university's undergraduates and 60 percent of the students are taught in postgraduate. The number of international students in the university is 3,717, according to the statistics.
