'Strict action against extortionists'
Various incidents of mass upsurge of migrating or migrating names came to the media. There are allegations that they are mass transport and house-building and disorder.
Strict action will be taken according to law against extortioners. The speakers said these workshops organized on the life-improvement program of the people of Hijra people. The workshop was held at the auditorium of the Social Service Department on Saturday.
Presided over by Director General of Social Welfare Department Gazi Mohammad Nurul Kabir, the State Minister for Social Welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed was the chief guest. Additional Secretary of the Ministry Rupon Kanti Shil and Khandaker Atiar Rahman were special guests.
It was informed at the time that the present government has adopted various development programs to be involved in the mainstream of the hijras like many disadvantaged people of the country. It includes 300 rupees for primary school level students, Rs. 450 for secondary level, 600 rupees for higher secondary level and one thousand taka for higher level.
A monthly allowance of disabled and disabled migrants of 50 years and above will be given at the rate of 700 rupees. Besides, financial assistance of 10 thousand rupees and post-secondary education is being provided to the main source of society by integrating them into the skill development and income generating activities of the Hijra people.
